• Try regional food: BBQ in Texas, seafood in Maine, Tex-Mex, deep-dish pizza in Chicago.

• Don't forget to tip — 18-20% at restaurants is expected, not optional.
• Don't underestimate distances — LA to San Francisco is 6 hours driving.
