Tap water is excellent — Copenhagen's tap water is among the cleanest in Europe.
Cycling is the main transport — learn Danish cycling rules or you risk accidents and fines. Winters are cold and dark (sunset by 3:30pm in December).
Service included in prices. Rounding up is a nice gesture. Tipping is not expected but appreciated for exceptional service.
Casual and minimalist — Danish style is clean, functional, and understated. Black is popular. Dress in layers for changeable weather.
Historically Lutheran but very secular. Churches are primarily cultural landmarks. Denmark is extremely progressive and LGBTQ+ friendly.
